Itinerary DAY 1: KUPANG ARRIVAL[ D ]Upon arrival at Kupang’s Eltari Airport, your guide and private car will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Check in and enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Kupang.
DAY 2: KUPANG – SOE[ B , L , D ]Spend this morning exploring the town of Kupang. You’ll start with a visit to Kupang Museum which houses a fabulous collection of items from Nusa Tenggara’s different ethnic groups. Among the displays you will see fossils, anthropological artifacts, traditional ikat weavings and textiles and other items. Continue to the local market where you will see area vendors buying and selling produce, handicrafts and other goods. Next you will head to Lesiana beach where you can observe the villagers making sugar palm. After lunch at a local restaurant, begin the drive to Soe. The drive takes around 3 hours (covering 110km) and passes through beautiful landscapes of rice fields, farms and jungles. Before reaching Soe, stop in Oebelo. This village is famous for crafting unique musical instruments called sasando which are made from lontar palm leaves. Arrive in Soe early this evening and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Overnight in Soe.
DAY 3: SOE – BOTI – KUPANG[ B , L , D ]Explore the area of Boti this morning, a traditional Timor village. Boti is home to around 350 people who live in the palace or in the native style houses. You will get to see the fabulous ikat weavers and meet with the village King. Spending time in the village and with the locals will give you a further understanding of this rich culture and deep traditions of Boti. Return to Soe midday for lunch before driving back to Kupang. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight in Kupang.
DAY 4: KUPANG DEPARTURE[ B ]After breakfast, your guide and private car will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.
